Trick-Or-Treat!!

Halloween evening started out fun! The girls got into their costumes: Jessica the cowgirl and Kayla the polar bear!

Jessica went trick-or-treating with her friends from the neighborhood! Leigh, Christina, and Liz went with her!

We had fun trick-or-treating despite the temperature dropping and it got so cold after it got dark! We had even took Yogi on his leash for the fun of trick-or-treating. We ran into some other dogs: one was an inmate and one was a hotdog! Yogi didn't have a costume, but he looked cute any ways! He really enjoyed the excerise and the excitement of the kids trick-or-treating! Jessica got tired later on, but it was worth the work to get all the good candy!

The Day Before Halloween

The day before Halloween was on a Sunday. We started out the typical Sunday by going to church in the morning. Kayla and Mommy went to mass and Jessica went to Sunday school. Jessica learned about Noah's Ark today: my favorite bible story!

After church, we ate lunch, and picked out Kayla's Halloween costume at the last minute! Jessica had picked out her cowgirl costume weeks before. Kayla picked out some girly polar bear costume? I can't wait to see them tomorrow night trick-or-treating! In the evening, we finally carved the pumpkins, Jessica and Kayla picked out at the patch a couple of weeks ago. Here they are carving their pumpkins!

Kayla used the stencil design and carved an owl into the pumpkin by herself. Daddy helped Jessica with hers. They carved a typical jack-o-lantern face!

The girls can't wait until tomorrow night to dress up and get some candy!

Rock Climbing

Yesterday, Kayla went to Nick's 14th birthday party with a bunch of old friends from St. John Nuemann. They went to Summit Rock Climbing! On top of rock climbing, they had cake and a lot of fun!

After Nick's Rock Climbing Birthday Party, Anna, Julie, and Kayla went to the Netherworld's Haunted House!!! It was good for them to do a scarey activity on the weekend before Halloween!

Daisy Girl Scouts

Jessica began her first year of girl scouts: she will start out as a Daisy Girl Scout. After Jessica's first girl scout meeting, she came out and said, "I didn't like girl scouts because we didn't sell cookies!" I think Jessica will see there is a lot more to girl scouts than just selling cookies!

Pumpkin Patch

Jessica and Kayla went to a pumpkin patch in mid October to find some pumpkins for Halloween this year! Kayla picked out a medium sized round pumpkin and Jessica picked out a large, heavy, oval pumpkin (that Mommy had to carry a long way back to the car!)The girls did a nice job picking out their own pumpkins. It will be fun to carve them into jack-o-lanterns and bake pumpkin seeds right before Halloween!

Boosterthon
