Art Musuem

Today the family went to the High Museum of Art with Nana. We looked at so many interested sculptures, paintings, photography, and carvings! My favorite was all of the European art from the Renaissance period. We saw paintings from Monet to Pissaro. We saw a lot of interesting works of abstract art and decorative vases and furniture. Jessica enjoyed the art museum, although she was tempted to touch everything! Luckily the museum had a place for kids to color their own artwork:)

Homework and Stuff

Jessica has been getting a good start with first grade! School has been in session for two weeks and she's getting E's in conduct on her Friday folders:) This was Jessica and a friend at registration day. Kayla has also been enjoying her freshman year of high school. So I think... Jessica gets a lot of homework. This was Jessica working and studying hard below: Yogi seems pretty sad when the girls are in school. Instead he enjoys his walks around the neighborhood while they are in school:)He can never wait for them to come home. One day, Kayla said Yogi crawled under the fence in the backyard and met her at the bus stop in the afternoon:)

Cuzes!

Emmy and Elly spent the night with us over the weekend! It made Jessica happy because she got to play with her cuzes all weekend! They came Friday night and slept on the floor of Jessie's room. They woke up the next morning and played in her room. Here they are playing on the ipad:
Coming down the stairs and getting into trouble! The cousins played the entire day. I kept wondering why it was so quite on Saturday evening. Elly passed out on one of the beds at 7:30. Then the Emmy and Jessica passed out just a little later on Jessica's bed which they demolished during the day! Atleast they got good sleep. The next morning the cousins went swimming in the neighborhood pool. Jessie had a blast with her cuzes this weekend~

Just Classy

Summer is coming to an end. School starts back earlier than than usual this year. Kayla and Jessica enjoy their last moments of summer. Here they were eating at a restraunt. Jessica knows that she's classy! Another day, we went to Dave & Buster's. The girls had fun winning tickets and playing games. Here they are playing shuffle board! On the day before the first day of school, we went shopping. Jessica stands next to Justin Beiber at a perfume store:)

After shopping, we went to Mimi's house. The dog next door say the girls in the backyard. He got excited and jumped over the fence into Mimi's backyard!
I think Jessica thought she was getting a new pet:) The next morning the first day of school came:(. Kayla started high school and Jessica started the first grade. It was the first year Jessica was riding the bus to school. This was Jessica in the afternoon after she got off the bus at school. She thinks she's so grown:)
Jessica came home on the third day of school with a book she checked out at the school library: a Junie B. Jones book! It didn't seem that long ago when Kayla had read those back. Now she's in high school. But oh, the memories of Junie B. Jones books!
