Return of Elf on the Shelf!

Jessica had so much fun with Carlos: her elf on the shelf from last year. He was due to return on Thanksgiving night and Jessica couldn't wait!
The family decorated for Christmas when we got back from Thanksgiving. The tree and the decorations were up before we went to bed.

Jessica woke up and was excited to see Carlos came back. He was found in the pink Barbie Corvette under the Christmas tree! Carlos was sitting in the driver side and Barbie was in the passenger side! He found him a girlfriend! The morning after that he was just found hanging out in Jessica's stocking! She turned on the Oz movie for him, since he was where he could see the T.V. On the 3rd night, it looked like Carlos set up a Hawaiian Christmas type theme in the sunroom. He put Jessica's mermaid dolls in a bucket of water and put our palm tree plant next to his wicker chair. He was wearing a blue lai and was holding a bottle of sun tan oil. He even invited the Hawaiian looking Hello Kitty to join the fun! And see what Carlos did on the 4th night. I guess he was pretending to be Chinese take-out! We have 23 more nights to see what else he has up his sleeves! Can't wait to see what else he has in store for Jessie!

Turkey Day

On Turkey Day, we went to Mimi and Papa Jim's house for Thanksgiving lunch and spending time with the family. After lunch, the grumpy old man had a fun 2 on 2 game of basketball. I am not sure who won, but all 4 old men will probably be sore in the morning. Kayla and Jessica got to spend time with the cousins from Florida, Annie Kathryn and Jillian. The cousins had lots of fun playing. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving Day, and were very stuffed at the end of the day!

16 Candles

Kayla turned sweet 16 today. We can't believe she is finally old enough to drive. Her license will wait for a little while though. Today, we went to the movie tavern and watched The Hunger Games part II. We then went home, listened to 16 candles, and let Kayla blow out the candles on her cake!

Blessed Beyond Measure

It is Thanksgiving Day next week and our family has so many things to be thankful for, I don't know where to begin! (Yes, this is the second thankful blog I have written this month!)

I am thankful for our lovely home that we are renting, for my husband, his job & my job, my 2 daughters, our Shih Tzu dog, my parents, my in-laws, both sides of the family, the nice city we live in, my health and happiness, for God, for Jesus, and every single blessing I have ever received. My life has not always been picture perfect, but I can happily say God has given me more than I deserve! I have prayed to God about things and he did answer my prayers:-)
So thank you God for everything and I am thankful to be celebrating Thanksgiving next week with the whole family!

November Thankfulness

In November and every other month in the year, there is always, always, always something to be thankful for. Jessica enjoys her pretty orange sweater that abuelo got from Bolivia. Ofcourse the whole family is thankful for our pet Shih Tzu, Yogi. I am thankful for our whole family, the season autumn which I think is the prettiest season of the year. We are grateful for our daughters and can't believe Kayla will be sweet 16 at the end of this month. We have so much to be thankful for, I don't know where to start. :-) How can we not be thankful for little Yogi below? I have to thank God for giving us Jesus and always answering prayers: This picture below was Kayla about 9 years ago at some carnival around Stone Mountain. I am very grateful to have fond memories of both of my girls! Jessica is thankful for her stuffed animals she plays with and says, "Hakuna Matata!" No troubles or worries for the rest of her days!

Fright Night

Trick-or-Treating last night was a ton of fun in the neighborhood. Jessica was Angry Bird, Leah was a bloody nurse, Lauren was a nerd, Gabriella was a pimpess?? The girls went to some spooky houses in the neighborhood and sure did rack up on some candy!
