School got out at the end of May right before Memorial Day weekend. Emmy and Elly came over that weekend and the family went swimming in our neighborhood pool! The below picture is Jessica laying out! I couldn't believe she looked like a teenager trying to get a tan! Emmy and Elly enjoyed getting their dose of the sun by the pool as well.
On Memorial Day weekend, the Viscarra family also spend time with Nana & Abuelo, Mimi & Papa Jim, and Grandmama & Granddaddy. Memorial Day is also remembering the men who fight for our country so we can have freedom. We also need to remember to thank our soldiers who lose their lives so we can have freedom to do whatever we want:) 
The weekend after Memorial Day, Jessica went to Hannah's Hawaiian theme birthday party! It was so fun for Jessica to go!
Later that night, Kayla's friend, Julie spent the night. Kayla had her own company, and Jessica insisted on hanging out with the girls! After Julie spent the night, the girls hung out at their favorite hangout: the mall ofcourse! They saw some sugar bears: (they are cute little marsupials from Australia.)
The Viscarra family tried to keep busy during the summer. One day, we went to the homeless animal shelter in Suwanee, and visited some sweet kittens!
Kayla and Jessica both would have been happy to take a sugar bear or kitten home with them! We think that having Yogi is enough for a pet:)Ha ha! After visiting the homeless animal shelter, we went to the town center to get ice cream, and Jessica went for a run in the park:
She likes to stay in shape! Our family has been to the neighborhood pool, walking Yogi, going to the library, etc. a multiple number of times! Jessica loves to be creative. She mixed her own cement and decorated this beautiful stepping stone all by herself:
We were proud it turned out so neat! Jessica was also a big help another day, and helped decorate these rice krispie treats with glitter food gel!
Our family continues to make the most of this hot summer. We also planned a trip to Cocoa Beach, Florida in July. We can't wait for that, and keep finding fun memories to have this summer! :)
